- If 1Password is locked, it will update itself automatically when “Install updates automatically” is turned on in Settings > Advanced.
- If 1Password is unlocked, it will notify you that an update is available.

If you installed 1Password from a package, use the command for your package manager to check for an update and install it if available:

If you installed 1Password from the .tar.gz file, download and install the file again.
