Important
This integration now uses version 2.0 of the Mimecast API. Credentials created for use with version 1.0 of the Mimecast API will no longer work in 1Password SaaS Manager.
Creating the Mimecast API 2.0 application
To connect Mimecast, you must first create a Mimecast API 2.0 application in the Mimecast Administration Console. You can find a step-by-step guide for creating the application. Once the API 2.0 application has been created, the client ID and client secret will be revealed.
Depending on the features you intend to enable when connecting the integration you will need to assign a role to the Mimecast API 2.0 Application with some or all of the following roles:
| Permission | Integration feature |
| Directories | Groups | Read | [Mandatory] |
| Directories | Internal | Read | [Mandatory] |
| Directories | Internal | Edit | Provisioning & Deprovisioning |
| Directories | Groups | Edit | Provisioning, Deprovisioning, and Awareness Training |
| Awareness Training | Dashboard | Read | Awareness Training |
Connecting the integration in 1Password SaaS Manager
Navigate to the Mimecast integration page in SaaS Manager and click Connect.
Choose one of the three API gateway base URLs offered by Mimecast depending on your performance, compliance, and data residency needs. You can find more information about API gateway base URLs.
Copy the client ID and client secret revealed in the step above and paste these into the corresponding fields on the form.
