When connecting the Grammarly integration in 1Password SaaS Manager you will be asked to provide a Client ID and Client secret.
To generate OAuth credentials for your application, follow these steps:
- Go to the Grammarly Admin panel.
- Open the Organization tab and choose OAuth 2.0 credentials in the Configurations section.
- On the next page, click Add credential in the top-right corner.
- In the window that appears, enter a name and check the box next to License Management API and Analytics API.
- Click Create.
- Click Copy to clipboard to copy your Client ID and Secret to paste into SaaS Manager.
The regular Grammarly API returns data about users and invited users (who are billable, even when the invitation has expired).
This also allows you to delete users, but not create new users.
To provisioning users or manage group membership you must be on the Grammarly Enterprise plan.
Provisioning
- Log in to your Grammarly account, go to the Provisioning page, and click Configure.
- Click the Activate SCIM button.
- Generate a SCIM token by clicking the Create token link.
- Copy the SCIM token for future use, click Got it, and close the window.
New users will receive an email inviting them to Grammarly.
Users created using SCIM can be deactivated. They will not be able to log in to the application, but their data will remain available in Grammarly as an inactive user. After 30 days, their accounts will be deleted completely.
