You can integrate Slack with 1Password SaaS Manager to streamline app access requests. To use these features, the Slack integration must be connected and notifications for Slack must be enabled in SaaS Manager (Settings > Notifications > Slack).
Request access using Slack
To send access requests to managers or app owners from Slack, instead of through the App catalog:
- In Slack, navigate to Apps, then select 1Password SaaS Manager.
- Select Home, then select + Request. You’ll see a “New access request” pop-up.
- From the pop-up, scroll or search to find the app you want to submit an access request for, then select it.
- Enter who the request is for, then select Next.
- Enter what access level and duration are needed, and the reason for the request. Select Next between each option to view and fill the next field.
- Select Submit.
The manager or app owner responsible will receive a notification to review your request.
Review access requests using Slack
To review access requests and approve or deny them within Slack, navigate to Apps, then select 1Password SaaS Manager. From the Messages tab, you can view any available access requests and choose Approve or Decline.
For further management of access requests, including leaving comments or closing requests, you’ll need to do so directly in SaaS Manager.
